What is the raw material of MinikOiOi products?

All MinikOiOi products are made from 100% premium food-grade silicone. Food-grade silicone is obtained from silica sand which is the raw material of glass, and it is one of the healthiest alternatives that can be used in baby products and food contact products.

 

Is silicone some type of plastic?

Food-grade silicone is a bio-sourced raw material. Plastic is a derivative of petroleum. Although the two raw materials are similar in texture and appearance, food-grade silicone can be called the "soft state of glass" and is made from the same raw material as glass. Food-grade silicone does not contain BPA, BPS, Latex, Phthalates, Toxic, and carcinogenic substances. It does not produce harmful emissions at high temperatures.

 

How can I clean silicone products?

Silicone products can attract dust in the environment due to static electricity charges. You can easily clean silicone products by hand washing them with hot or warm water. You can also boil it and put it in the sterilizer.

 

How can I remove the food smell from my product?

In rare cases, if foods with strong tastes and odors are kept in the product for a long time, it may cause odor formation in silicone products, as in products made of other materials such as glass, metal, and plastic. To remove the odor, you can rub the product with lemon or white vinegar, leave it for 20 minutes, and then rinse it with hot water. If your complaint persists, you can use the product by keeping it in hot carbonated water for 1 night and then rinsing it.

 

How can I remove the detergent smell from my product?

Fragrance-active substances (including baby detergents) contained in the detergent used while cleaning the product may cause odor formation. For this reason, we recommend using natural and perfume-free detergents/soaps when cleaning silicone products. To remove the persistent detergent odor, you can rub the product with lemon or white vinegar, leave it for 20 minutes, and then rinse it with hot water. If your complaint persists, you can use the product by keeping it in hot carbonated water for 1 night and then rinsing it.

I haven't used the product yet but there is a bad smell. What can I do about it?

All MinikOiOi products are made from food-grade 100% premium silicone. Food-grade silicone is a tasteless and odorless raw material. However, sometimes odors may occur because of lack of air due to the products being kept in the packaging for a long time. To remove the odor, you can rub the product with lemon or white vinegar, leave it for 20 minutes, and then rinse it with hot water.

 

Can MinikOiOi products go into the oven and microwave?

Silicone products, which are resistant to different temperatures, can be put in the oven and microwave at up to 200 degrees Celsius unless otherwise stated in the instructions on the package. It can also be placed in the refrigerator and freezer down to -40 degrees Celsius.

 

The vacuum of MinikOiOi Portions and Bowly is not working. What can I do about it?

The vacuum has a system that works vertically. In other words, the resistance of the product when you pull it upwards is an indication that the vacuum is working correctly. When pulled horizontally, the base of the product will take in air and will easily separate from the surface. This is a natural situation seen in all vacuum products. The vacuum of MinikOiOi Portions and Bowly shows high performance on dry, clean, and smooth surfaces. The purpose of the product's vacuum feature, which does not mean adhesion or fixation, is to support babies' participation in the family table from the first months of their transition to complementary foods and to make parents' lives easier by making feeding times more enjoyable.

 

Can I carry MinikOiOi Bowly inside my bag?

The lid of MinikOiOi Bowly is designed to make it easier to store leftovers after a meal. The cover does not have an impermeability. Due to the soft structure of silicone, our product is not suitable for carrying inside a bag.

 

How can I clean MinikOiOi Sleep Buddy?

You can wash the Sleep Buddy by hand with hot water and dry it on the hanger or put it in the sterilizer along with its toy.

 

Has MinikOiOi Sleep Buddy only one size?

The pacifier of Sleep Buddy has one size with an anatomical form similar to the mother's breast and is suitable for use from the first day for 0+ months. Just as the mother's nipple does not grow as the baby grows, there is no need for palateless pacifiers to grow.

 

Where does MinikOiOi products produced from?

All MinikOiOi products are produced in our sister company, DOH Silikon Kauçuk A.Ş., located in Bursa, Türkiye. Our facility has received an A score from independent testing organizations and is the only silicone production facility in Türkiye that produces in an environment free of carbon emissions.
